You do need an adjustable Trackbar. You do NOT need the drop pitarm. Do the alignment yourself, unless you take it to a shop that specialixes in alignment for LIFTED jeeps. Most regular shops only adjust the Toe, not caster in an XJ. It is easy and can be done yourself in less than an hour. http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoAlignment.htm

no, you'll still need the adjustable track bar unless you redrill to move it over. but with how cheap track bars are, i would just buy the adjustable one.

How did install go for you? I have the basic 4.5 RE kit sitting in the garage. Anything special needed?

i would say dont bother doing it yourself unless you have an air drill it would shave like 8 hours off the job lol but if your real good at wrenching long hard time consuming bolts grab your self alot of pb blaster, and a blowtorch

blowtorch helped me the most

redrilling just gets it close. you need the adjustable track bar for getting it on the money. after my lift i grabbed a tape measure and did a driveway alignment on my jeep, it was damn near perfect. as far as what to expect for the lift.. like someone mentioned before, pb blaster, torch, and alota elbow grease. i'd say the worse part of mine was removing the rear leafs.
