Built this myself, all out of angle iron and flatbar, 10 rod holders, ice chest, cuttin board, and small toolbox for alot of my surf fishing gear

So..... I do a lot of surf fishing and needed an idea to mount the rods, I have a rage roof rack and already bent an eye sliding the rod in and out, I took 2" PVC and cut 2 pieces to 12" long and then on the top of the pipe, I cut out a 1- 1/2 inch channel so the rod just lies inside of the pipe , 12" is the space in between the eyes on my 11 foot surf rid, drilled a hole from too to bottom of the pipe on the side that will be attached to the roof rack and used thick zip ties to hold it in place, I'll post pics later, I was wondering if anyone has done something like this, if so, what did you use to attach to the roof rack? I kinda don't like the zip tie idea, it works but there is some play in, I want it tight against the rack, thanks for any ideas
