To be honest this was not the first time I saw this article somewhere and every time I read it I think about that, but at the same time I'm still not willing to take the risk knowing that this could be a possibility.

its really hard to say whether or not a sway bar would have prevented that.

id almost be inclined to believe that the kid is using the sway bar excuse as a scapegoat for crashing his jeep.

im not saying everyone can handle evasive situations without a sway bar, but some people can.

I would still rather not take the risk considering I still dd my rig. When the time comes to trail it to the trails then heck I'll cut the brackets right off lol

Got my xj a lil over a year ago...within the first two months I yanked the front and rear sway bars off, and haven't put em back on since....I have had no problems..I've tested it with turns and u can feel it leaning a lil bit but just don't try to drift a corner lol...but I've drove it on long road trips, and my dd..no problems, forget I don't even have em...yea its considered a lil bit more dangerous, just don't drive stupid and u should be fine.....

I run my dd with 5 inch lift and no sway bars has a locker in the rear never had a problem at all. I think it's just how you drive. I had 3 ppl in it counting me and blew donuts with it on dry pavment. By the 3rd donut it lifted the inner front tire about 3 inches off the ground but didn't come anywhere close to flipping.

Not in full flex but pretty close. I'm running a 3 inch Zone Offroad Lift with an AAL and Coils, A stock swaybar setup, and 31x10.5x15 BFG A/Ts
