You need to weld that in,Screwing it in is a really bad idea.

all metal mtreated with rust bullet top and bottom, sealed 100%.
ill report back later!!

oh, no fires from torch!
Huh? You use the seam sealer after the welding. A little fire while welding is not a deal breaker...lol

To the OP, my seat brackets were much like yours. I just patched and welded them with some sheet metal, and they have been working fine. If they are too far gone, you can always make them from scratch. They aren't too complicated.

Th floor pan is structural it has to be welded in.Seam sealer is just that a sealer for seams in metal not a panel adhesive or any kinda glue.Seam sealer is put over seams that have been welded to make sure they are 100% water tight.

Put a rusted out floor jeep on a frame table,I bet its not where near straight it might look it but a frame table never lies.Theres 2 reasons they rust out easy,The lack of any kinda factory under coating and water leaking it from either the doors or windshield collects in the floors the carpet stays wet and rust starts to grow and grow.Any bare metal will rust even a weld thats why you should paint over any bare metal.
