flowmaster super 44 vs. glasspacks. debate.
Ok so post whether you like the flowmaster 44 or glass packs. Please stay on topic and post pros. And cons. Of your pick. And remember stay to those two mufflers thank you and I hope to see this post grow.
I will start.
I like the flowmaster 44 it is tough. Sounds great all around. Not to loud. But Loud enough for it to be noticeable. Also it is deep deep..

I don't like the sound of the glass pack. That being said I run all stock with no muff and it has been compared to to meany 44's to count and sounds the same. Just saying.

Based on my experiences, I love my 44. It has a distinctive tone at certain RPM's that running no muffler doesn't offer IMO. As for a glasspack, the ones I've heard sound too ricey to me. Like a fart pipe.

I love my 44...I had it dumped, but I couldn't take the drone on long road trips, but I loved the sound. I put a tail pipe all the way back to the stock position. I has a really nice deep tone with almost no droning inside the cab...I don't really like the sound of glasspacks...makes me think of a cheap *** exhaust...IMHO...

Flowmaster kills glasspacks any day of the week.
I think glass packs on XJs don't really sound right. They have a light raspy tone kinda like a ricer. IMO glasspacks are meant for V8s, not I6s.
I have a super 40 on my XJ and it sounds great, people always tell me that they love the way my Jeep sounds. It sounds kind of like a V8 at idle. It sounds really crazy around 3k rpm, and makes a popping noise when I let off the throttle which is pretty sick.

Mudfrog is in Roanoke,VA and I stand behind him and his products all the way. I bought my setup from him, and honestly think it was the best deal of my life.
