Is it possible to see it from looking on the drivers side or do you have to disassemble things?

Might not be a fifth. When I called and asked how much the price was after saying I had $5000 he said it's $6900, which is already $500 off what it's listed at. Checkin it out with the dad tomorrow who's a master bargainer.

I don't think we'll get it down that low but once I mention that the 4 tires have 3 different brands between them, two need to be replaced soon, some rust, dent on passenger door, and other things, hopefully he'll go down some more. Tires are like $800 too, NOT cheap!

GOOD NEWS (well to me! y'all might disagree) - Bought the Cherokee for $6300! I know a lot of you said you wouldn't pay more than $5000, but the KBB said it's worth over $6900, so it's a pretty good deal. My dad's friend who owns a local auto sales place said it's in great condition, great miles, just awesome - so I'm real happy.

Future plans (in order b/c of high school budget):
4.5 inch lift
32s BFG A/T KOs
Roof Rack
Front bumper w/ stinger
Winch

WOOOOOO! Love Jeeps! Alright, thanks for all your opinions and help guys - really appreciated.

I paid $4300 for mine and it doesnt have all the rust yours has, it was one owner and not a dent on it, perfect inside and out. 4wd's are typically worth $1k more, so I would def say you payed too much.... But not an outrageous amount like $7500. Congrats !

-edit: Oh wait that is really nice when i clicked on the ad and price seems about right for VA....

Congrats! The only way you paid too much is if YOU are unhappy! Value is a perception definable only per the individual! I can tell you, your rig is WAAAY nicer than what I drove in high school. (1982 datsun) Enjoy, and welcome to the club!

congrats, glad its finally over : )
i dont care what the guy said that you bought it off of, you do your own tune up... have you dads friend with the auto sales place if hes a mechanic or he has a mechanic or whatever, do a sniffer test. did you get a warranty of any kind for that price?
keep an eye on the coolant level if it seems like its dropping or you have low oil pressure or seems to over heat or run hot, or watery oil, id really have a mechanic look deeper into possible cracked head. Not that its gonna happen, just keep an eye on those things, and im not saying be worried
just the more i read the more worried i get
