Changing the master will help once you have 4 wheel disk brakes get one from a 1999-2009 Dodge Dakota with 4 wheel disk brakes .

I've never heard of that before I might have to look into that

it does matter, drum brakes take less fluid than disc brakes so you aren't getting the full potential of the discs.

Well I guess I'll grab a prop valve off a zj from the junkyard today while I'm there. Did you replace the whole thing or just the internals

Big David that sells the ZJ kits here includes them with his kits and they do make a difference.
