ok call me stupid but what is hrew tubing?

 

Hot Rolled Electric Weld tubing, DOM is Drawn Over Mandrel.


many people are big believers in HREW as well as many people are big believers in DOM.


DOM is lighter and stronger but 2 times as much as HREW, and HREW will make the grade any day of the week. Kit car, Roundy Round, dirt track, and rock buggies out there are made out of HREW and holding up just fine, BIG time sports wont allow it, most competitions however will allow HREW. not very often will you find a Competition that doesnt allow HREW Tube Cages

nope its hrew for 30 a stick from pattons steel, i get a bit of a discount too though so 40 per stick for you

there was a thread like this on pirate and in typical pirate fashion they were all saying you NEED 1.75 120 DOM or your going to die if you roll blah blah blah then a guy posts his zj that rolled 2 times over on the rubicon and he used 1.5 .120 hrew for his cage and it didnt even bend and shut them all up.

so if your on a budget use 1.5 but no smaller and at least .120 wall itll work and if you dont think so its been proven so shut up and go post on pirate if you think otherwise


you dont HAVE to use tubing. round metal is round metal and if your on a budget isnt pipe better than nothing in a roll?
i was just giving him ideas for tubing because it isnt terribly expensive for material
