thats where your wrong though. I get behind people that go 30 in a 45. they say why you tailgating me. cuzz ur going 15 under. Im just tryen to get better mpg's in this horrible economy. But that's a laugh. cuzz I get my best mpg anywhere from 42ish to about 55. slower does not mean less engine rpms. But Definitely I agree if you mean take it easier as in acceleration aspects and consistancy in the skinny pedal.

Depending what vehicles you have, Insurance company, age, driving record, family, type of coverage. There are a lot of factors when it comes to insurance. With my two xjs geico has me at $72 a month for both

I think the biggest deciding factor is location. Population density, crime rate, and proximity to cities with a high level of those two things.

When I get around 45+ my XJ will drop into 4th and I'll cruise at 45-50mph at a low rpm to save fuel. Light on the gas while accelerating to keep it from dropping into 3rd.

That's about the only place I'll get good mileage while commuting.

If your XJ has larger than stock tires, you should think about re-gearing your axles.... Just figured mine & i'm running around 12 mpg..... Ya, with gas prices what they are in WNY ($/Gal up there, one of the highest) It'll be worth it for me to re-gear, also it'll be nicer to drive. won't constantly shift....
