Thanks for all the input guys. I don't plan to do it for a few months so I'll have to think about things a bit more before I make a decision I think.

I would personally recommend 4:88s... this leaves ya room for future mods... and you will love them..
I ran 4:88's on my trail rig that had 33's and was amazed at fuel economy and freeway speed. I bought the 4:88's for my hp30 and 8.8 and was skeptical based upon what i read on the interweb... I eventually went to 35s...
I could/can do 70-75 on mountain passes and in my Grand(auto) I was holding 2600 RPM in overdrive, and still can with 35s... of course some hills require me to take it out of OD for the tranny's sake.
One con about 4:88s is the D30 gearset is not quite as beefy as 4:56s.. however I have yet to have a problem.. and yes I wheel my rig hard.
I would highly recommend looking at Nitro unless you have the coin to go Spicer(don't think u will be able to get 4:88s)... I was a Superior fan but they've left the scene and I HATE Yukon.. I've had nuthin but problems with them...
These guys are fantastic http://www.justdifferentials.com/

Have plenty of shims-that are consistent, use Timken bearings, have two crush sleeves-when applicable, and seals. Real quality kits IMO.

The only kit I've ever had a problem with G2 (aka - Genuine). Complet junk and bolts that are too short.
I've never run into inconsistent shims, not sure what you're referring too.
I've used Timken, National, SKF, Koyo, etc, etc...all the same results. They work. Can't really say one was better than the other.
