Motor Trend Car of the Year in 1980 was the Chevrolet Citation.

They apologized later on.

'Nuff said.

Wow, I'm surprised nobody checked up on my mistake.

It was Motor Trend, not Car and Driver that gave the Colorado truck of the year for 2015 and 2016.

Car and Driver gave that to the Toyota Tacoma for 2015 mid-size truck of the year.

Coincidentally, Car and Driver chose the 2016 Cherokee for Compact SUV of the year and the Renegade for sub compact SUV of 2016.

You need an XJ. Or a WJ or ZJ. Some Jeep 101 training.
With good driving habits, those should resolve post traumatic accident stress syndrome.
If that's not your top 3.
You'll be needin a volvo, helmet, bubble suit, and chauffeur as the only refuge.

Motor trend also named the PT Cruiser as car of the year in 2001... Still waiting for that apology. The only thing they do now that I pay attention to is Roadkill/dirt every day, etc.

To be fair, besides the transmission they both share, I have yet to hear an actual complaint about the Renegade not related to it's looks.

The Renegade is on the same platform as the Fiat 500X, which I believe is a more proven system. I know people with both the new cherokee and renegade, and literally everyone I know with a cherokee (4 or 5 people) has or is having issues with it. Haven't heard about any real problems from the renegades.

Leaning towards an AWD 2016 Equinox LT with the v-6 305 hp. With the employee discount and cash rebate, should save close the $6500.
