And for that to really make a difference you would already have to be going 50mph+ so the wind resistance at 50 mph would hurt it more than what the weight of the doors are at the same speed or even driving in town.

First response was the best - after all tuneup parts are in or good, check O2 sensor if mileage is not optimal - and run synthetic oil too.

Slow takeoffs, early deceleration, manual tranny helps, and keep tires and windows up. Wax? Maybe... you do look faster when you're clean!
