getting rid of computer on grand cherokee
I have a 1999 grand Cherokee, I have changed it over to carb and distributor. has anyone ever done this to get rid of the computer. I kept having trouble out of it. took it to every mechanic for 40 miles around and two dealerships no one could fix it . so that is the reason I am getting rid of the computer.I need to know how to wire this distributor to make it fire, do I need a engine box of some kind. sure would appreciate some insite thanks

This isn't gonna be an easy "just do this... and this... and this..." kind of task.
This is going to require a lot of work, and an engineer to do. You're better off just getting a new computer.

Long story short its not that simple as all.The ecu controls about 80% of the stuff on your jeep.None of your gauges will work and the trans will not shift out of first gear with out the ecu. What is wrong with the ecu you have now?
