The hair is the issue. Yea you have a good point about the heat/bedliner. I don't want my dogs lying on it. And I vacuum almost 1-2 times a week already. Ha ha.

What about that material they use on like gym floors that comes in like puzzle pieces or whatever. You could use cardboard like they said before to make your pattern and then cut it. It would be a little padded for the pooch too. The only thing I can think of is I usually only see it in black and that may get a bit hot.
