I have heard that taking the doors off an xj if bad because they are part of the body and removing them will weaken the construction of the vehicle...is this true??

It's ok as long as you don't go any faster than 30 on streets, because if you go any faster hitting a bump or pothole will cause your frame to break or fold. Which in term can cause your motor mounts to loosen and the engine to eventually fall out...

Thought I was serious didn't you? Forreal thought it's awesome, lots of people will hate on it and call you an idiot but screw them its your jeep, do what you want. I love goin doorless,

It is a saftey issue I would think I mean if you would be involved in a side impact crash with no front door it could be ugly.If you want to take your doors off buy a wrangler.

I took my doors off and my XJ went on a rampage and killed my family and friends.

I have mines removable. Ive wheeled it before with the doors off and have driven on the freeway at 75mph with them off aswell. I can assure you any structural integrity you lose from the doors is soo minimal it shouldnt matter. If you have wheeled with me you would know I flex the ever living crap out of the jeep with or without the doors and they function fine. Other than maybe looking like a total idiot to people giving you funny looks I love it. The AC in the heep dont work that well and well who needs AC when you got the doors off and cruising around at 45mph.
