Im getting 18 mpg highway. in city though, im only gettin 16 mpg. drove over the snow covered cascades yesterday, and did awesome stayed in 2wd almost the entire time. switched to 4wd prob 3 times cause got stuck behind someone going 15mph up the pass on the icy sections, dumb drivers without traction tires or chains.

my jeeps 3in lift, 31x10.5 tires, cold air intake, everything else is stock, has 232,xxx miles original 4.0 high output engine. just run her on regular fuel, and put cleaning agent in the tank ever few times i fill up the tank. use seafoam

with 30's and 1.5 inches of lift I get 24 highway.

nothing special, just a manual (3.07 gears) and staying at the same speed for a while.

31x10.5 and 4.10s is probably the best way to keep it for street and medium offroad use. i get 22mpg highway with my '99 with 3.55 gears 4.5" lift and 31s. but if i do some city driving, it drops down way too much. when i drive city only i get about 15mpg. my '97 with 3.07 gears, no lift and 30s gets 24mpg highway and about 18-19 in the city.

yeah i had a lifted yj before with 4:10s and 32s and it sucked *** on the highway could barely hit 75. but i tried alot of gas places in the cherokee and so far everywhere sucks except for bp (kindof) but i got best results from shell 87. if any of you guys have a chance to use a motorvac machine DO IT! its such an awesome motor cleanup and last about 30,000 miles. lots of places charge about 60 bucks i get it for 8 at school!! its shaweeet

oh and an early fyi if anyone is kindof local to illinois/indiana areas im trying to get a group to go out to the badlands labor day weekend
