believe it or else, my old cherokee I had Kumho Solus tires and they handled a LOT of mud, and even charged up a hill that was buried in years of pine needles like it was nothing.
Never had them in the snow, but considering they look like tires for a ford taurus...they did a hell of a LOT....
Point being... and keeping in mind you did say "general" tire--don't get caught up in marketing bull**** and the guys who do 0.05% of their driving offroad.

It's normal to go through stuff like this just going to a good watering hole in the woods around here.
My aunt has those tires on her camry.
All i'm saying is, dont give it to those tires for making it through anything if you did it with speed.. I mean look at them, they literally have nothing to grip on wet grass even.

I'm running Goodyear Wranglers from Walmart. 50,000 mile warranty for $79 each. Size 235 75 R15 worked out to $200 an axle once you factored in all their hidden fees though.
I'm pleased with them. They have had great wear ,do nice in the snow, rain, mud, and what have you. You can't beat them for the price sir. I'd buy them again. They are a good tire for an XJer on a budget.

Went though prairie city during rain, with its muddy clay crap, never got stuck with my duras in my 2wd xj. My other buddy in his km1's Nd km2's had issue. Duras have proven to me to be a good all terrain tire.

I had cooper AT3 on my Sierra Z71. nice tire, quiet and had a good tread look, but nothing on the sidewall to make it look aggressive.
and what happened to the generals? read their reviews! I bought my Jeep with them on it and read about them and was amazed by their following and reviews. and they look mean! (btw I drive 70 miles a day on the highway with them)

I'm coming in late, so forgive me if this has already been thrown out, but I've heard great things about the general grabber at2s. I wish I would've gotten them instead of my MTZs.
