Dude, what kind of STT are you buying? I just this minute walked out and double checked mine and they have ARMOUR TEK 3 stamped all over them, Armour tek 3 is 3 ply sidewalls. If yours are not are they older? Did cooper not make the Stt in 3 ply to start with. Might want to check and see if you got what you paid for. Like I said mine say 3 ply and the cooper web site says the Stt are 3 ply side wall. Love mine.

Not at all to me. One side has some decent lugs, then part looks like an all terrain, the some tiny lugs next to that. Looks to me like the inner part of the tire would pack with mud very quickly, which is what I have heard. Not trying to start a debate, just stating a fact. If you look at a km2 it's almost all rather large forward propelling lugs, kinda like a much less agressive bogger. I've actually had a lot of not so bright people call mine boggers.

[QUOTE=Rock Toy;1196183]Dude, I'm not buying any kind of STT, and yes they were two ply sidewalls when they first came out. Sorry, that I didn't realize they were now 3 ply.[/QUOTE LOL, I didn't know thet were 2 ply at one time. I misunderstood you and thought you were buying some new ones that were 2 ply. What are you running now?

I'm running 40x13.50 r17 MTRs on the Blazer, 35x12.50 r15 KM2s on the Cherokee, 32x9.50 15 Interco TSLs on the 1948 CJ2a, and 265x70 r17 Toyos on my tow rig.

ok from my personal experience cause i work at a tire shop and have worked with both tires...both are hugely popular...but one thing i do not like about the kevlars is they are really heavy...and to anyone worried about their tires balancing out do yourself a favor go to town fair tire and have them order equal (it is a balancing supplement that lies in the tire and takes place of sticky weights and clip on weights...they have bags corresponding to tire sizes above 33") i actually a week ago did equal to stealthcherokee's km2's and i feel it made a bit of a difference in balancing and i can confirm on his wear pattern it is so even and they do look brand new and we just rotated them so it should continue as such ...any questions about equal you can pm me for more info
i personally love bfgoodrich but in my mind am having the whole km2 or mtr kevlar battle...am kind of favoring km2's right now...ps my previous tires from my old jeep are pro-comp m/t's and i was not a fan
