Default Got my first jeep yesterday

WOOH, got my first jeep yesterday check her out. $3400 with 96k miles
Got some problems but it seems to be great mechanically. Definetly needs new rims. I have been looking for one for a little while.

here is what I want to do:
3 inch lift
New rims and tires
Paint the side panels and bumpers the same color as the car.
Replace the carpet with vinyl

What do you guys think?

Default More stuff.

Well the guy I bought it from didn't tell me it needed a battery. Tried to start it today. Nothing. Took the battery in got a new one and it started right up....

But did a little more work today on it. Took out the rear carpet. Looks a little beat up underneath. I think he must have taken the carpet out before to haul stuff.

Oh and is that patch in the middle normal? Im somewhat new with this.

That patch is normal, it's to keep the floor from resonating. Kinda like that Hush-mat they put in hotrods and show cars with big speakers. While you have the carpet out roll in some bed liner.

Looks good....is it a 2001?

It does look good... and the patch is completely normal... like stated above it is for resonating.. I can't wait to pull that patch out as well as cleaning all the other sound deadning material out so I can roll in some bedliner...
