Default great engines

The straight six was one of my reasons for getting my '99 XJ. My father was always a big fan of the slant six. Which is the better engine and will either ever be seen again?

They are both damn near indestructable. Chrysler makes the 4.0 as a crate motor now, but I doubt we'll see it in a production vehicle again.

the bad mileage killed the 4.0. especially with the new v6 the 2011 JKs have. 275 hp!
