Grrrrrr... Serp belt shredded and cut trans line..
I just finished up a timing set replace on my '92 4.0 last night.. Has about 300K and it was due for a replacement. Running around town the past few days getting parts AGAIN as I ordered the wrong set 4 years ago. Got it all buttoned up late last night and drove to work today.
Running around at lunch break and I hear that serp belt flapping around. Was about 3 miles from home so I nursed it home to swap vehicles.
Pop the hood and see ATF everywhere.. Bottom hose was slapped thru by the belt shred. hooray!
Now I get to clean up a huge ATF mess, run all over hell and high water after work to "fix" the lower line with the wrong parts and spend more $$ on a belt, ATF and Gunk. And figure out why the belt failed. Thinking the balancer isn't all the way on..
Rant over...

That happened to me once, but it cut the transmission cooler line.
Be prepared for a nice clean engine bay. Just run it and let the heat evaporate it. You may see smoke steaming off, don't panic.

Wonder if it's worth cutting/patching with hose and clamps or just order the new assembly. $40 on Amazon for the lower oil line. IF, I can get it disconnected at the trans with no problems.. lol

Here's one for $26.79+shipping if it's the right one:

Holy crap. The line I removed is NOT the 624-300.. Mine has the external plastic squeeze clippys and not the internal that uses the tool...
Scouring the interwebs has returned NOTHING for a part number on my lower line.. Looks like I get to run some janky hose and some clamps tomorrow.
At least I get my 39.99 back.. ugh.
