Here's a post from that forum, this KL is only TWO WEEKS old!
It was too good to be true. My first American car purchase in 40 years and it was seemingly flawless for the first week. The slight knocking sound seemed to disappear and all was well with the world….until this morning. While driving out of the garage to go the bank the ParkSense failed. Ok I can do without it for awhile. After the business at the bank was finished I started the car and the 4WD Unavailable light came on. Uh OH! But the car still functioned so as I began to back out the parking brake failure light came on. So the relaxed morning turned into a long trip to the dealer. On the freeway my previously praised ACC failed and said it was unavailable. The TrailHawk drove just fine. But only after 350 sedate miles we have the following:

I now have 300 miles on my Trailhawk. I also have the 4WD unavailable message as well as the electronic parking brake - service required.
In addition I now have the check engine light on.

Wonder what the REAL MPG's are as quoted by the actual owners?
"Just got back from a trip this weekend. Trailhawk. All Highway miles. 89 octane. 70-75mph. Using cruise control. Average MPG = 21.2"
Different poster:
"So far 21-22 mpg average with this type of mixed driving. I have a V6 Trailhawk."
Different poster:
"my manual calc for the first 2 tanks was about 1~1.5 MPG less than the display."
Different poster:
"My Trailhawk V6 has about 600 miles on it now and it is averaging just under 21 mpg"
Different poster:
"3.2 V6 just did my 3rd fill-up (4 total counting the dealers) im at 560 miles averaging 16.2mpg w/manual calc. mixed highway/city."
Different poster:
"I have had my Limited II 3.2 for just about two weeks now. I have put just about 90 miles on it. I am still on my first tank of gas provided by the dealer and I am getting 13.2"

LOL, that's funny. And all the KL supporters cry about fuel efficiency when comparing to the 4.0. My 23 year old Mazda gets about 24 to the gallon city, 28 highway. What does that tell you about improved fuel efficiency of modern cars (in general)?

I'll admit Electronic Parking Brake seems cool, activate parking brake with a push of a button, never needs adjusting.
No big parking brake handle taking up space on your console.

I have this in my 2014 fusion. My first thought was something else to break. At least this one has a real spin on oil filter and not the messy cartridge deal that my 08 had. What ever happened to the foot activated parking brake?
