Hatch side glass "delete kit"?
Hey guys,
So after a wheeling adventure today, i shattered my passenger side glass on the side of the rear end (dont know the correct name, but its not the rear window, just the glass on the side nehind the rear seats). Its a 4 door XJ. Anyway, i was told that there was some sort of "delete kit" where you can make this glass removable. Have any of you guys heard of this? Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks,
Stu

haven't heard of one. but the glass comes out pretty easy if you work the rubber seal with your fingers starting at a sharp corner from the inside. you'll have to remove the trim first.

A guy around the street from me has a piece of plywood in place of that window. He spray painted it black so you almost don't notice at first glance. Me and my buddy knocked on his door to see if he wanted to sell it because it had 2 flats and looked like it had been sitting for 20 years. His wife answered and said if he sells it, he'll have no way to get to work. I was like, "Wow, you know you have 2 flats, right?" And she goes, "Oh, I didn't even notice." People these days are so oblivious.

The fastest delete is probably some sheet steel and a pop rivet gun. Or to look more professional, a real rivet gun and bucking ber but it'll take two people to look perfect.
The thing is though, you'll gain a huge blind spot doing this
