Don't mean to revive the dead but I'm planning on upgrading my wire harness also and I checked out both of the harnesses that were posted above. My question is are they the exact same harness and the only difference is price? The amazon harness says that it will not fit my 98XJ but the one from eAutoworks says it will. Are these 2 different ones or the exact same kind and amazon is just being weird?

HOWEVER, there has been a pretty good development since this thread was posted four years ago. A lot of people have been having good luck with this instead:

For less than $20, it's hard to beat this. Unlike the Putco harness, it has ceramic connectors. So far it doesn't seem like there have been as many complaints about the relays failing. There's nothing in the Putco harness that justifies paying twice as much for it as this harness. Next time I'm in the market for one, I'm going with the Ebay harness.
By the way, as long as we're resurrecting a dead thread:
No, THIS is the best you can get:
It has three relays instead of two and is long enough to mount the relays on the rear firewall. Is it worth an extra $100? Only in the most extreme duty circumstances. The Ebay and Putco harnesses are almost always good enough. But if money's no object, it's definitely better made than the cheaper harnesses.

What size fuse to put inline?
Why the harness doesn't come with the fuse assembly inline I don't know. What amp fuses do I use between the battery and relay?
