Oooooh...the first things to buy.....
OH...and any tools you might have.
This is a list of tools I have in my Jeep:
Shovel
Axe
Multiple tow straps & chains
4-way
Hacksaw
Multiple pairs of vice grips in different sizes
Air compressor
Various handtools (pliers, srewdrivers, wrenches, etc.)
3 cans of fix-a-flat
Bolt cutters...for heavy guage wire (some got wrapped around my rear axle once, in a marsh?!?!)
Socket wrench set
Jumper cables

As for lockers, if you have a vac disconnect D30 up front do a Posi locker conversion and weld the spider gears (assuming you have a welder) that's not only really cheap but will hold you over till you can buy an Aussie or other locker

It is better, LSD is the lowest form of traction controll, next to open dif. The locker is the next best followed by no diff at all. What a locker does is once one wheel starts to slip, power is then provided to both wheels. This is like LSD, but with a locker there is more power to the wheels. Go to youtube and enter locking differential and a vid should come up showin an easton locker or something of the sort. It shows how everything works.

Lunchbox lockers have 2 locking mechanisms that lock together when torque is applied, and then unlock when the torque is released. So when in 2WD, it will have no adverse effects, since no torque is being applied to the front wheels.

It is different, then an LSD, because an LSD uses a series of clutch discs and friction, to engage both wheels...which is why they burn out & start to run like crap, after alot of hard use.

i read the link. but it says its not reccomended for rigs running bigger tires because of the stress the tires will make. so the average guy running x amount of lift and 33's cant use these lockers?
