Default here we go crazy question!

Ok in the back of an xj its all carpet including the back of the back seat. So here's the question can you put spray on bed liner over the carpet?? ide prefer to leave the carpet on the floor to i dont know if it would work. any ideas?

Well on the back of the back seat you have to and on the floor I didn't want to rip it up for the soind deadening of it

It's a jeep dude, they aren't quiet. Leave the back of the seat alone or get a cover for it. I had my carpet out with just bare metal for a few weeks and it wasn't even bad. Liner with help a lot

I just wanted something more than a cloth on the back of the seat probly end up taking carpet out and bed linering that

If it was me i wouldn't even worry about the hatch area but I'm not the smartest lol. I'm doing mine this summer. I plan on doing matching bucket seats that are leather instead of the cloth ones and the bench

I just want something better than carpet when im throwin all kinds of stuff back the parts, wet dogs, you name it. I use it for work in the summer and we haul all kinds of stuff in the back of it

Id worry about moisture being trapped between the top layer of bedlined carpet and the metal creating a mildew or mold issue. Carpet or cloth allow moisture to evaporate I'd think the bedliner might inhibit that, and if you bedlined any carpet over metal panels youd just be asking for Rust.
