Ignore these clowns suggested mud tires. You want tread with a lot of siping. These are the tiny grooves and slits that channel away rain and slush and grip well on ice.

If you want an A/T style tire look at Treadwright and get a well-siped design with Kedge Grip. **** wears fast but there's your maximum traction since you seem to want to race your XJ. Or do you want like Michelin X-Ice 2s?

I don't intend to race my XJ. I just want road tires that will allow me to actually make use of my torque in dry conditions, and allow me to drive with confidence in Florida's white-out rain conditions.

Duratracs are awesome aggressive AT tires. Alot of federal and municipal services use them. Like I told OP, I'm standing behind my destination ATsj

I love my Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2. My XJ is stock height with 235/75R15. I've gone through almost everything in 2WD. Had a sweet coupon at Firestone so they were $1 over cost. About $600 for a set. Even bought a spare later on and it fits in the stock location.
Here's how they look on my XJ.
