Default homemade front bumper

Quick questions im not new to fab but just wanted to get some opinions. For making a homemade front bumper should i use the factory bumper mounting brackets, or make my own. Also same question with the back, i havent taken the bumpers off yet so i dont know how they are held on to the body..
Thank you

Usually u use plates cutout with mounting holes that run down the "frame". Check out jcr offroad's mounts.

If you aren't new to fab, just make some. Heres a shot from in my fender, you can see the mounting bracket I made in the lower right corner or the pic. I made it hit all factory locations. Its just 1/2" plate. I later welded it, my 10k warn moved it a little winching someone out.

Are you kidding... My state is full of hippies. They frown at anyone not driving a vw or a smart car.

And im not sure how you consider that, not a bumper. Works better than any boughten bumper ive ever seen on the trail. I can push myself up onto anything with it.

Oh, the only thing we have is a height requirement, mines a little high, but its not really enforced around here. At least ive never been bothered at all since I had my jeep. I used ti get hassled in my big Ford, but not anymore.
