At xjoffroad: um, I have to say that the scoops look great on my XJ. Everytime I go somewhere I get people asking where I got the scoops. Besides, the way I'm going to rivet them down, is going to flow with the scheme.
(This is where you'd say something like " What scheme? A crappy one?") If you dont know what I'm doing to my XJ, don't bash me for it, please! I'm tired of seeing you posting comments on mine and other members threads that are rude. Theres no point to it, and no reason for it.

I love the scoops and am about to do the same thing. I am not over heating but you could look at it as preventative maintenance. Overheating is definitely something that could happen. Just like i could break a U joint so i upgrade to spicers. A lot of the maintenance we do on our jeeps, we do to prevent future problems. If installing vents will keep me from having to cool it down on the trail. Then they are well worth it. Plus they look awesome. I also like the idea of rivets if they are done right. Makes it look more rugged (if thats the word i am looking for).

Yeah. I knew that the straight 6 has the ability to overheat, or run hot. So I took a pre-emptive move. Also, in my area, I'm the only XJ with scoops

That's right!
My YJ is a perfect example of that statement.
Although mine are there to cover up a nasty bulge I had to make to clear my alternator welder.

rivets=half *** job. not bashing your product. i said it seems pointless especially if you are riveting it. I have no issues with you, its your jeep, just don't do half *** work. there's enough half *** xj's on the site and yours don't have to be one of them.
also if I was bashing you, you would know it!

Sorry, I get defensive over my jeep.
