How long did your lift install take you?

I just got my kit. looks pretty strait forward. They estimate 3-4 hours install. Pfft I hope so. It came with the new N2.0 shocks so I'm pretty pumped about it. Iv heard great reviews. Also the Guys at lowrider.ca also sent me a RC performance 2.2 steering stabilizer to try out. I love those guys

Between my lift and bushwacker flat flares, it took 20 hours. Keep in mind, this was the first time I've done anything like this.

took me a week because I wasn't prepared for the problems. I didn't break any bolts but the upper shock mounts which were simple. The problem I ran into was control arm bolts and leaf spring bolts being seized inside the bushings and having to be cut out and replaced... and only being able to find the bolts at the dealership. Have lifted several since then and it hasn't taken more than 6-8 hours.

X2!!!!! Dude you WILL break bolts.....you would be hardpressed to find anyone on here that didn't break at least a few bolts instaling their lift. You wll understand once you get underneath there and start. Thats really where it took a good deal of our time. It took me and a buddy about 9-10 hours......looooong day but you will learn lots about your jeep and it worth it seeing your rig sit higher!

First one on my rig took me 2 whole days, 6am to well past dark both nights. Broken weld nuts inside the frame rails, shock bolts all broke...just general lack of knowledge about what to do in what order. Plus I was by myself and had only the stock bottle jack and a couple jack stands.
In contrast, I've since modified mine several times and even had both axles out from under the rig a time or two. Did a buddy of mines a couple weeks ago and I had it done in 3hours, front and back. Helps a ton when you know what bolts are what size and in what order to take things apart.

start spraying any bolts that you need to take out a good week beforehand with pb blaster or something similar. this will help out a great deal. i managed to put my first lift on my 89MJ without breaking any bolts. i did use some heat too though.

As its been said before, YOU WILL BREAK BOLTS. Plenty of them. We did not have the same lift, we had a 4.5" Zone Kit. It tooks us 3-6 hours to PUT the lift on. That part isn't the issue. It's taking everything off that takes time. Breaking bolts, snapping rusty brake-lines and having random stupid things hold you back. Sure the kit is correct in the fact that it will take 3-4 hours to install. Just be prepared to run into problems and be sure to have help.
Overall our's took us 7 days from start to finish. Started at 8am on a Saturday and finished on the following Saturday. It may seem like a really long time, which it is but we ran into many problems. Rear shock bolts broke, Leaf spring nut that is welded into the unibody both came away from the body so we had to cut open both sides of the floor in the rear, All our hard brakelines needed to be replaced as they all started to leak because they were old, Trac bars bolt was so rusted that we had to drill it out, Wheel cylinders needed to be replaced because the bleeder screws snapped when we were bleeding the brakes, and finally when we got her on the road the throttle cable clip snapped. So our's was extreme but please expect everything and anything to go wrong, and if it doesn't then good on you!
