Easy. Do something like mine. Nothing obnoxious, but it looks good.

here is mine. stock height with 235 DT's. i still have to trim my fenders,but she is debadged.

Those are some nice XJs, ill probably lift mine 3 or 4.5 inches, and paint the rims black, ill probably leave the molding on the side but paint all the molding black because i agree about the door dings being a problem. If it was an older cherokee then id probably take the side molding off. Thanks for the help everyone

This is how mine turned out, thanks for the idea, it looks so cool

I would've spray painted the rims but its been dark clouds all day today so i'll wait for a nice sunny day to break out the rattle can on them

I'm in the same boat you are. I'm 17 and got my self an 88 wrangler. Best thing you can do is save money and get tires and a lift. It will help you off road and make your jeep look cooler. Taking off or replacing molding with different color is also a plus. Sound system if you don't already have one is always good.
