If I were to sell my Jeep how much do you think I could get out of it, and where is the best place to sell it? Craigslist, Ebay, Dealer,? It has a few bells and whistles on it already, listed below and I think that might boost the price a bit? I was looking for at least 4 maybe 5 thousand if I am lucky? Remember I am probably going to sell it in the MD/DC/VA market.

2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic, Automatic transmission
Engine runs perfectly and all routine maintenance is kept up to date
No major rust on it, and only a few minor paint scratches,
Interior is very clean, no spills or stains present
Air conditioning, elec mirrors, windshield wipers and all four windows work
Has a C8.25 rear
Factory rear towing package
Factory gas tank skid, transfer case and front end skid plates
Rough Country 3 inch lift kit
1 inch wheel off sets
Rock Hard 4X4 bumper with Warn D-rings and relocated fog lights
Five 30 inch with five rims from a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Yakima roof bars and wind deflector
Factory speakers replaced with sony speakers and head unit
Tuned CB Radio (Should I sell this with the vehicle or not, does it matter?)
if you're trying to get rid of your XJ just because of the gas mileage, I'd say don't do it. my '99 with 31's gets 22 mpg highway. as a matter of fact, i just got back from PA and I averaged 23.5mpg on all highway going 55-60mph. bear in mind that my ONE tire and wheel weights 67lbs. get with me on PM and we can see what can be improved for your mpg.
But, if you still wanna sell it, then i'd say it should be well worth $4500-5500 depending on the actual ride quality during test ride.
and like someone already said, try to ignore the little kidz running their mouths around here.

What gears would get you 22 mpg. I have 4:88's and still might have got 13-14 highway, Now if this was all downhill I could believe it.

heard it on this forum actually. Would take a while to dig and find the actual threads, maybe someone who posted that would chime in. Gears don't make up for mechanical issues though.

X2. fix what's wrong.
although i do have a hard time believing that someone can get 22mpg with 35's. maybe 17mpg. that would be my guess. because, if you get 22mpg with 35's then you would be getting about 28-30 with stock setup with the same power adders. i have heard that you might be able to get around 19-20mpg with 35's and a 4.7 stroker, and a whole bunch of other mods.

Jackilla, do an extensive tune up and see how much your MPG's improve. Don't forget the Seafoam as well.

Go out and buy a sh&t b$x honda or something cheep but why would you want to get rid of your jeep that you know runs good and has no problem except low mpg. I have a 93 zj with 4.5 incs of lift on 32inc swampers 4l auto and im getting 17mpg. It was bad then i went out and bought a good k&n air filter (was like 100 bucks) holly **** man that helps alot. chances are your just going to be buying someone elses crap that has something else wrong with it. Keep yours buy a cheep car or bettter yet put some money in yours and drive with a light foot.

Alright you all have convinced me, and I am gonna do a tune up on it, reduce some weight and I have noticed I use a lot of gas running short errands so I came to this conclusion.

Im building one of these, they get about 100 MPG and as long as its under 50CC I don't need a motorcycle license hahaha.

Thanks for the help everyone.

get a honda rebel, they actually have power and get around 80 mpg if im correct. and as far as making your jeep get better mpgs.....sorry to say its not gonna happen, or at least you wont get more than 18-20mpg unless you switch to a 4BT, 4 banger, or LS1 or something like that, other than that the shape of the cherokee is kinda gonna limit you....

If you ARE gonna sell your cherokee, then let me give you some advice from a craigslist car salesman veteran.....dont post a picture of your jeep muddy or dirty and say dont say anything like "4x4 works great (never been stuck)" just say the 4x4 works great, the idea is to give off a a good image, and not one of a jeep thats been ragged out and abused, and saying that you wheel it all the time and showing pictures will in fact do that. Of course i am no expert so who knows......

either way good luck and more power to you
