Okay so ive seen a bunch of threads on poor gas mileage on the XJs. obviously thats a given and im sure not the reason anybody bought one up here. But im curios about another thing. Even though gas has gone down a bit, its still too expensive for my liking.
So i though this would be a good idea for a thread. Lets see how it ranges depending on where you live. Im pritty sure all the XJ since the late 80's have had the same size gas tank.
So tell us how much it takes to fill your XJ and where you live.
I'll start.
$43 in Clayton NC

Not sure as I have not actually filled up from near full lately but Gas here is just about 2.65 per gallon for regular. 20$ was about half a tank so... 40ish

I wish that were true dans01.. but my pay is pretty damn poor. I just love the jeep and couldnt imagine driving some little 1.0 litre hatchback. My wife has a 1.5 litre proton persona.. its a reliable little car, but when im driving it just feels like a childs toy.. rather have my greedy old 4.0 litre any day!.
Well gas in most places here seems to be slowly trickling down. So maybe it will come down for u guys too.
