Blocks are pretty rough on the narrow leaf springs of the XJ. If you have the means, new leaf packs would be preferred. If not, check out how to build a bastard pack and add a little larger shackle to where you want to be.

I just want to clear something up, it sounds like you think you need a new sway bar which is not the case. You just need new sway bar links, and def go with the quick disconnects for when you want more flex.

I'd buy some 4.5" leafs (not rc, and not AAL), and some extended shackles to give you 1-1.5"s of life.

Yea stock shackles. Longer ones with new leafs will give you a much better ride/flex.

Both are good. I have Rusty's and love it. I highly suggest you get extended shackles, IRO, RE, RC they all work, if you just get 4.5" leafs you won't be leveled and won't flex as well. 4.5" leafs, extended shackles are your best bet.

I'd say 1-1.5" lift shackles. That'll be your best bet.

You can also look at HD Offroad shackle relocation boxes as well. The bolt in version add about 1-1.5" of lift and allow for a correct shackle angle.
I have a set waiting to go in, but someone, I won't mention who (jmu427), has a beautiful 67 corvette stored in my shop blocking progress...

Yes but he'll have to replace his stock shackles then too since the they aren't long enough to get the full flex before hitting the box. His shackle angle should be pretty good without the relocators after new packs and shackles.
