1988 with 194,000 (engine may or may not have been replaced, and then if it was it might've been a used replacement.) If the Jeep is say an Arizona one or something maybe 3,000 tops if it's from the rustbelt or somewhere 1,500

Do a search for what to look for on the forum. There have been a crap load of threads on it. Eveyone will have different stuff to look for depending on their person wants/needs. What you are looking for will kinda depend on what you want out of the jeep.

There's always a list of maintenance and replacement items to attend to forat this age level in creating a daily driver. Just be sure main systems (engine, tranny, brakes, drivetrain, electrical) are in good order or start subtracting $100 bills for fixit funding.

Daily driver: 99-01. Occasional driver/off road toy: anything mid to early 90s (tons of junkyard parts). Gotta be 4x4. You can find great Jeeps in the $3,000 region, but understand you'll need another $3000 to keep her running for the next few years.
