Found a one owner 99 Limited XJ with only 46k miles that has been garage kept and in great shape. Everything is factory stock. The older gentleman is ready to sell it as he doesn't need it. What do you think is a fair price that I should offer.

Ebay will tell you the market on xj's is crazy. A 99 mint 46k could sell on there for $10,000+.

I looked for a year for a nice clean xj at a reasonable price for my son who was leaving for college. I finally had to give up and bought a Subaru in December.

 

Idk start at 5k and see where he goes. Is this thing advertised or was it word of mouth?

 

I actually saw it in his garage and stopped and asked. Just so happens he had been thinking about it but not done anything. Going to check with his son first to see if he wants to buy otherwise he'll sell to me. I hope the son doesn't want it.

 

Be advised one with very low mileage can be quite hard on an engine also, usually indicates short trips without the engine getting up to operating temps. Or it has sat a lot of the time without being driven.

For sure. Son has never ask about it or shown interest before so we'll see how it goes. He is supposed to call me after he talks to his son. Should hear something next week.
