How much would you pay for this? 1989 MJ
Kinda just wanna see if i got a good deal on the Mj i bought last weekend, its a 1989 2wd 4.0 automatic, body and bed arent to bad (considering every other one ive seen in wisconsin) but their is a hole in the passenger "frame" rail from rust and it doesnt do anything when you put it in drive, 147k miles, so how much would you buy it for?

After looking at other MJ pics I see most are column shift. To be completely honest I havent looked in the one I have for three months, and then it was only to get it off the trailer, bought it sight unseen. I just remember bucket seats and a floor shifter like the one in an XJ. I would rather have a bench also, need to find one

Those should have the AW4 as well in them, so its a worthy transmission. It doesn't move under its own power, you say? I wouldn't pay over $500 for something that doesn't drive. One heavy paperweight! Does it shift into gears at all? Buck around? You can typically drain & fill those trans pretty well if they haven't been totally destroyed from everything I've read.

Could be anything, I suppose. Best luck is that its stuck in neutral in the transfer case or something stupid like that! Those transmissions are pretty tough so hopefully its not that!
