People are so nice around here it's annoying. If I break down on the side of the road 90% of the time I have what I need to fix it and get going. I'll have 15 people stop and see if I need help. Then I have to deal with them being in my way while I try to fix the problem. Stupid helpful people!
Now, watch. On the way home I'm going to sling a rod thru the side of the block.
I take it back helpful people!

I make a point to stop and help people broke down, I've been stranded and helpless in vehicles and no will stop to help. A few years ago when I got my licsence and XJ I was broke down (fan went through my radiator, no clue how) on the side if a highway and out of 50 cars that past me none stopped. It makes me sick

I was in my moms jetta and got a flat tire. I was In Walmart parking lot. Up front and changed it by my self but no one asked if I needed help or anything. Not tht I needed it but it's the thought tht counts. I always try and help. Especially hot chicks in nice cars

I make a point to stop and offer help whenever someone looks like they need it. I really only do it when driving the XJ, as the only thing I have of any use in the Honda is booster cables, where the Jeep is usually loaded.
Thankfully I haven't needed help in the XJ (yet), but definitely believe in karma.. My Monte Carlo blew a tranny line a few months back, over an hour from home, in the dark, and my phone died (always thought the dead phone at time of need was just in movies..). Ended up having a few cars stop, one guy gave me his flashlight and a funnel, and another swapped phone batteries as they happened to be the same..

It just goes to show you that the Jeepin community will help out anybody. Not just others with stranded Jeeps. Last weekend when we went wheelin we stopped by a couple of groups of quads and side by sides that were parked along the trails just to see if everything was ok or if they were broke. They all said they were good but hey it is always nice to check.

the other day i was riding a bike(yeah thats still not cool...) and theres a really big hill, coasting at to, 30 mph at the bottom and back up(on a bike its a lot of fun...), well i was coming up and i see a guy with his hazzards on pulling over into the shoulder and instead of just passing i figured id ask if he needed help, he was out of gas, so i rode up to the gas station just at the peak of the hill( the side we were on thank god) to see if they had any gas cans(this guy didnt his truck was full of his mothers wheel chair) so i cam back and he didnt know what to do, i offered him a puch is thats all he can do, so me and him pushed this truck up untill we get to the light(no shoulder in the run lane we are) and no one stops to do a thing, just honks and fingers because we were in there way...
so about half way thru this intersection a guy in a dakota, or ram, i dont remember exactly, offers a tow for the remainder of the way, lost a little faith in people that day

Its Great to hear of all of these stories! I rarely get the chance to stop and help someone, mainly because i hardly ever see anyone broke down on my normal commute to work... But i am the guy that you can call at 4 in the morning because your stuck in the woods. I am the only person i know that will answer the phone, and/or even consider coming to find you in BFE... And it gives me a great excuse to go do some quick wheelin
