My first mod would be getting the jeep I have running in tip top shape before anything. Your second question will greatly vary. To me the best parts you could get are tires. They are the only thing touching the ground majority of the time. A good set keeps you safe on the road and let's you enjoy your offroad time

We had a issue with the jeep my jeep. That did some damage to the front end. So when I get it back in going over it with a fine tooth comb. Few things i know I need first being new battery and alternator. Any suggestions on a aftermarket alternator?

X2 I wish I would have installed stiffeners before I put on my lift. After lifting and a good amount of off roading, I realize I need them. Now I have to pull off my long arms, burn in the stiffies , then modify and re-install my lift. First off get it tip-top maintenance wise. Best bang for the buck is recovery points.

There's definitely an order to properly mod your XJ. I reallllllly wish I did stiffeners first. I put my stiffeners around my long arm mounts. Seems to work fine that way being as the LA mounts act as stiffeners anyway. But there was clearly some flex in the unibody when I went to install these, at least on the drivers side. Passenger side went on smoothly.

I would have left mine at factory height and 235s, but regeared to 3.73s with no-slips front and rear. Sway bar disconnects and some stock height Bilstiens.
Then I would have kept it the DD.
