So I thought it would be a good idea to wheel with a couple people that had nice shiny rigs.
WRONG!
They were ahead of me cause they wanted to lead. I'm like "yea whatever" what happens? The lead guy keeps stopping every 15 feet and busts out the snips and saws and whatever else to trim back bushes and crap. Finally I get fed up from stopping all the time and told "look.. Why are you out here if your worried about scratches and dents.. Its gonna happen!"
He's like well I just had it detailed.
.. I Palmed and told him to let me lead and I'll break all the stuff away with my rig.. Ok?
Anybody ever go through this out there?
I'm never wheeling with nice shiny rigs again. Freaking annoying!! God..

Haha. Those guys crack me up. Had a friend of a friend of a friend show up with a polished up Rubicon complete with khaki pants and bluetooth in his ear. He was really upset when he found out there was mud on our trails so he tried to creep through then immediately asked for a pull so he wouldn't get his jeep too dirty. My buddy who owns the land who was fed up proceeded to hook up his small block powered YJ on 38" boggers with 10 feet of chain and attempted to pull him out in 2wd 3rd gear. You can figure out the rest. Not sure why he hasn't been back to wheel with us...

When I go down to the strip where all the tuners and lifted "mud" trucks hang out and I try to make small talk about where they wheel and such, and of course they all never went wheeling or only went watch other ppl mud, it honestly upsets me that they think they're all Kool but they never wheel their rigs.

I feel kinda the same way about mud. not because I care about getting a little dirty
but because it looks like the most frustrating thing to encounter if your rig cant make it out and you start struggling and eventually have to get pulled
I guess I'll have to find out
