I think this is a pretty friendly forum, compared to some of the forums I am on. Couple things that bother me:

#1 You find a thread that fits the problems you are having. You read through 3 or 4 pages and then find the OP didnt follow up and state what was wrong.
Now that pisses me the hell off.

#2 Grammar police, come on guys who frickin cares. We are here to relax and find problems and help each other Not to say go back to school and learn how to use punctuation and stuff. Case in point I am horrible at grammar and dont care.

#3 A guy is trying to sell his rig for x amount. And people are in there bashing him saying its not worth it. Fine if its not worth it, fine if it is, But nobody has any business bashing a guy because he wants what he thinks his rig is worth. Just dont post. Everbody always has to be a smarta$$.

But all in all this is a pretty friendly forum.

This is the problem ^^

We all try and help. There are just some who make it a little harder then others. Ask your question just give us enough info to answer it.
At least he finished the thread... I mean he didnt just post how to remove liquid line removal and have people answer and not respond to it.

Grammar police arent helpful most of the time except when someone asks a question like this. wat is dis werd siver thang near my valv covr. Most people who write like that know english but are to lazy to write it out. I appreciate members like Beer that do not know english well but try to speak well even if it takes them a long time to do it.

seriously, do the people with simple or repeat questions take up a valuable space in this website that was reserved just for you? i thought the name of the game was helping each other.
telling someone to not ask a question but to go do a research is like your college teacher telling you that he doesn't feel like teaching you, so go learn it on your own.

to sum up, if you refuse to offer help to people who haven't researched, leave the post and those of us, who don't mind answering the same questions over and over (i.e. helping) will step in.
i couldnt agree more i still consider myself a noob and still ask "dumb" questions and sometimes need then repeated 3 or 4 different times befire i understand, i try to only help ppl on here and if i dont think i can i dont post i dont be rude or tell them to search it, for search just show key words. might take 2-3 times the amount of time to find out what you need to know through searching then it would to post and have someone answer it for you.

As complicated as a vehicle is there are always things to learn. CF tries to be that teacher who teaches the same course semester after semester. So we should not care if the questions this semester are the same as the ones asked last semester. Just teach.

And I followed up with the OP and posted an answer to his question.

Blue, with 19k+ posts you are not just a teacher, you are a master of this forum. A very patient one at that....

Did someone actually say that repeat questions are taking up bandwidth? That's like saying whoops I dropped a sunflower seed. Lemme pick it up and eat it.
BlueXJ my friend, not just this forum but every forum needs at least five people like you. Thank you for your time and patience.

Exactly.

My frustration is incomplete information; however, I try to prod at the OP and have them provide the information needed to answer the question. Like everything else, you live and you learn. If someone does something that you don't like, that's life; it happens everwhere. Be patient, be helpful, and like Blue said - teach. I've used the phrase "Use the search function" only after I gave my advice and just let the OP know that he/she may find more pertinent information in another thread. I didn't think that was rude, however I can see where it could be taken that way. What I like to see is the poster that posts an issue that is common on XJ's and the responses are right on; it's nice to help someone out. I love this forum, and you guys have been great to me; so I will try to return that to new people. Have a great weekend.

if you are teaching then the student should be learning right? when you are learning don't you do your own research along with whats being taught?
research / learning=search button

they are not learning its the same stupid / idiotic questions that are showing up 10 times a day.

i say its a good thing when someone asks a question over and over, because when all of us read it, we eventually have to KNOW the right answer and can give the correct information every time it is asked

My point made. Rudeness is starting to show face in anti-rudeness thread. Seriously how do people act rude and then blame it on the newbies?
IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, THEN DON'T ANSWER IT. I mean is there any other way to break it down to an adult or am I talking to a child?
yesli tebe ne nravitsa uxodi. Ostav svoyo mneniye sebe.
is this more understandable?
Because I will not get tired of repeating this nor will I tell you to go research how to be polite. I swear at least 30 percent of all the threads that I post end up being anti-rudeness campaigns. And it ends up leaving the OPs questions unanswered.
