if you are teaching then the student should be learning right? when you are learning don't you do your own research along with whats being taught?
research / learning=search button
they are not learning its the same stupid / idiotic questions that are showing up 10 times a day.

(8) If the question asked is the "same [one that shows] up ten times a day" and that irritates you, take a deep breath and move on past the thread without comment.
(9) If you can't add any new constructive information to what has already been offered, don't post.

the only stupid question is the one that is not asked.....
I am greatly appreciative of the "non judgmental" answers of some of the members. Even if I always start with doing the search, sometimes, it is making you more confused, especially when you have a specific question for which you want a specific answer.... not a "check this guy out, he has a jeep that has nothing to do with yours and the problem is different but he fixed his problem by doing this and you should try.... "

I joined knowing very little about Jeeps, and was looking for parts and some basic knowledge on maintenance/upkeep. I can't count the helpful people I've encountered giving me advice and helpful tips. The array of knowledge on this site is amazing. I try to help whenever I see a thread that pertains to a subject that I have at least some knowledge of, or can find a link to a helpful solution.
There used to be some very rude, (albeit extremely good mechanics), members here that were banned for their attitudes. Some lately just have a funny way of dealing with others. Everyone has an off day. Just be courteous and help those with problems when/if you can so they can enjoy their Jeeps as much as you enjoy yours.
And thanks to all who've helped me learn about my Jeeps.

Thats the problem with the internet. People feel like they can say whatever they want when they are talking through a keyboard to someone they will probably never meet. I hate to think that there are as many a$$holes out there as is seems when you read these forums. I bet most of the people that post BS insults and crap would never say any of that to you face to face. It is unfortunate that so many people, when given the option, choose to be a jerk.

That and you can't type body language. Sometimes something is said cause it would be funny person to person because you can convey the meaning with facial expression or body language but not over the keyboard

i agree with some of you and disagree with some of you. but how many times have you searched threads. for your problems and what there asking or its doing is not what yours is doing. then some smart a$$ comes in and says do a search. how do they know if all those threads are excatly the same as yours. or you ask an opinion on two diffrent thinngs and someone goes dont buy eather buy this cause this is what i have. that really irratates the he11 out of me. then i loose my cool and logout. so you see a thread that says the same thing. someone else asked a day before. but same issue but he has a diffrent problem example " oil pressure issue " " if i am loosing oil from valve cover is that causing the low presure? " come on hes a noob and dont know anything cut him some slack. but no someone has to start in on him. just relax and why isnt someone on here deleting old threads? keep them for 6 months and get rid of them free up some space. all except for the fabs , write ups. and XJOFFROAD i have seen you on other threads right out of the box bash people. or what they want to buy if they ask what is better in your opinion. but you dont own eather dont say anything its that easy. i read alot of threads and if i dont own it i dont comment on it. but this is my opinion

i agree. what pi$$es me off is when someone says i wheel hard with 31's and someone else says no you don't. you cant wheel hard with 31's or when someone says i beat the crap out of mine and haven't broke anything. then you get the response. no you don't you cant wheel hard and not break something. there is a difference from wheeling hard and responsible,or wheeling hard and irresponsible. that's usually when something breaks or it was worn out in the beginning. my point here is you can not tell someone what they do and don't do. when your not with them. there is no reason for acting like a 16 yr old still in high school. i know some people just cant help themselves.they feel as if they need to bash others to make them selves look better.i know im glad i found this site. it has helped me a lot and i have helped others a lot.i recognize some posters on this thread some has helped me and some i have helped.i believe as reasonable adults if someone gives misinformation than the recipient can figure it out.there should be no reason to bash someone for there lack of knowledge

in my opinion, if you get mad, that's the best thing to do. get away from the thread. i don't like hearing stuff like "what were you thinking?", "have you never had a car before?". i personally, have never had these statements told to me, but it irritates me when some of the members treat other newer members like idiots.
and then there's the people that bash on somebody, but when the other members tell him/her not to be rude, the bashing member pretends like he/she was joking.
NOBODY HERE WAS BORN LAST NIGHT.
if it irritates you, close the thread, go to youtube and watch something funny to let go of your anger. believe me, the way Almighty Lord works, you might be broke down on the side of the road or on a trail, and the member that you bashed once, could be the only one around that can offer help.
TREAT PEOPLE AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED.
if you treat people like idiots, and call their questions stupid, then you're an idiots and you pattern of thoughts is stupid.
