as title says i have 2 questions i hope you guys can help me because you are more experienced.

1) recently my mom has been felling kinda bad, blood pressure and stuff, she's doing fine no biggie, but now i have to take here everywhere, she refuses to drive (she drives a 2012 nissan frontier) but when i take her to wherever she wants me to, she has a hard time getting inside my 01' Xj, i was hoping you guys could recommend me a good set of nerf bars, so it's a little bit easier for her to get in, i want to lift my xj, not sure how much but it won't go more than 4" or 5" i was looking at smittybilt

2) i been having this check engine light on for quite a while now, 3 months

at first i thought something was wrong, changed the valve cover gasket which was quite worn, then i just simply disconnected the battery and connected it again and it was gone, or so i thought, a week later came on again, started checking nothing, a month ago i started smelling like burned oil, i removed the oil filler cap and saw water underneath it, seems that i got humidity from winter and heavy rains ( haven't taken care of that yet, will do in the next weeks) and the other day i found that the thermostat housing was leaking i think the gasket is broken or maybe it just need adjustment, i changed it almost a year ago when i got my truck.

last week i went to autozone because that light it's just hideous it annoys me, besides it just gets me worried, i asked for a computer check to see if it was throwing any codes or something, nothing big zero, the guy did it 3 times letting 5 mins to wait for any code, nothing came up, any ideas ? (besides stated above)


those are my doubts i hope you guys can help me and orient me in the proper direction, in advance thanks
