Default Interior door handles are JUNK!

Please delete this post if not allowed: 3 of the 4 interior door handles on my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee are broken and the driver door handle is hanging on by a brittle piece of plastic that as soon as it breaks, the door will be inoperable from the inside. I've been researching this issue and have found it to be quite common. Until recently, the only way to fix it was to replace the whole door panel. I found a youtube video on how to fix this issue with parts found online which saves hundreds of dollars. The guy narrating this video says, "If you're like 99.9% of all Grand Cherokee owners, this video is for you!" and the hundreds of comments say that the viewers have all also suffered from this issue. But there have only been 55 complaints registered with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If you or anyone you know has had this issue, please have them file a complaint.

The top pic is the driver door handle. That little pin in the upper right is the only thing holding the handle together.
