I never introduced myself either. Been on here since April, bought mine in March. The names Anthony(duh), I live in WI and I like whitewater kayaking, snowboarding, and my Jeep(which was bought to facilitate the other two!)

Hi folks...
I've been lurking around here for several months. Have always wanted an XJ and finally got one a little over a week ago. 1996 2 door, 82,000 miles, red, 4x4.
My name is Frank, I'm 43, married with 3 daughters, work for a large defense contractor in NE Pennsylvania. Other hobbies include waterskiing, guitar playing, and long distance running(completed my 13th marathon on Sunday).
Gotten lots of info from this site allready. Thanks to all!!

My baaaaadd, I haven't introduced myself either. My name is Travis and i am from VA and live in a little town with nothing to do. Bought my first xj with the dream of making a nice trail rig. Well i will say that it went in the woods and never made it to the street (except the drive home) So i bought a better XJ in better shape. This forum has given me so many ideas and has offered so much help. Thanks

Hey, Jeff here from Greensburg Pa outside of Pittsburgh. My jeep addiction started many many years ago with a ground up build of a CJ7, now bought a totalled 98 cherokee and have rebuilt it with 3.5" lift, light bar and rock rails. Son has a 97 with 7.5" lift on 33"'s strictly offroad use.

Howdy
I've been on here for a few weeks with no intro either. Tha name is Vic. I live in Southwestern part of VA. I bought my XJ about four years ago and haven't looked back. This is the first Jeep I have ever owned and can assure you it won't be the last.
Since I've owned my XJ this is what I have done to it.
New breaks and rotors up front (don't know how the previous owner even stopped).
New Shocks all round (learned bout broken bolts).
Replaced front diff pinion seal.
New front outer u-joints.
Motor Swap for a 2001 XJ 4.0l (blown head gasket trashed #2 cylinder).
New radiator (due to blown head gasket allowing exhaust pressure into the cooling system).
New heater core (probably due to the same thing).
Fixed passenger window switches(easy fix with a paper clip)
Fixed the rear defrost (tab broke off the window soldered in a quick connect blade).
I think once I get all the little stuff fixed up I may try to lift it a few inches and throw on some bigger meats. Just haven't had any extra money since I have owned it and not sure why. lol
However I am thankful for this forum and all the great advice and people here.

Scott from Kalamazoo, MI.
I just picked up a mint 2000 XJ Sport to be my daily driver. Out of the many cars, trucks and SUV's (ok... motorcycles, too) that I have owned over the last 20yrs, there have only been 3 that were perfect for me: this is the third.

Hey I'm from Portland too, same age as you too lol. You ever weld or fab stuff for other people? I'm sure I will need a hand with that kinda stuff at some point. If you're pretty skilled and can do things like welding on axle brackets or fabbing rock sliders let me know. I just got my Jeep but down the road I will probably be looking for someone to do that kind of work and would pay a fair price for it.

Nice to see another Foxbody owner in this site, I have a '90 GT though it isn't nearly as modded as yours! I'd love to see pics of both your cars if you have any online.
