Well, after a long battle I finally got a "respectable" settlement on the Jeep. However, we have decided to part with it so it's now up for sale.
I'm asking $800 for the whole thing including episodes 1-5 of Trucks where they take a wrecked 89 XJ and trick it out. Honestly, I think if someone was skilled enough (unlike me) they could straighten out the driver's side front section and replace the front clip and maybe even upgrade the front end to a 90's body.
I've contemplated parting it out but when it came down to things like the engine, tranny and axles, I wouldn't have any way to get rid of the rest if those were gone and no one wanted the other parts thus it goes up whole.
The thing still runs and after I was able to open the hood and look at the engine compartment, I was surprised that it did. The engine seems fine but the radiator and battery are hurting bad. The battery actually lost one of its caps, and got slammed into the radiator. It's really amazing it starts and runs. (I think the jeep is still pissed about the wreck and harboring some anger.)
So if you're interested, I live in Colorado and you would probably have to come tow it. I would suggest a trailer but you may be able to pull it behind another car. Shoot me an email either through here or at steven.hulse@gmail.com.
