It's a 35, the 8.25 has flats on the cover too, the cover on a 35 has no flats.

Yea i took it to a lift shop and they told me its the d35. So whats better, 8.25, 8.8 or d44??? Also wat do i do about that d30 in the front?? Or does it hold the 33s good??
I can probably find one in a junk yard but wouldent know if its in working conditions. Or would i rather get a new one?

Your d30 will be up to the task. If I were you id look for a 29 spline 8.25...the 8.8 requires some welding skills. The d44 is a tank but they are a little harder to find and.typically more expensive

That is a chr 8.25, not a dana 35.

The cover style and the flat bottom of the diff are a big giveaway.

And the fact that you have an 01 means its the 29 spline version

Looks like a 8.25. The top center bolt has a notch where the brake line clips on.

apparently people forgot what an 8.25 looks like

that is a chrysler 8.25, 29 spline version. you will not need to swap it out for 33s.

yes, you will be fine. you may want to re gear to get your power back, but the axle will be upgradable an worth re gearing for your intended use.

What gearing can i put for the 33s?? I still wanna be able to hit 75 on the highway and not have my rpms crazy high
Im still not sure if they are going on a 15 or 16 inch rim tho?
