Jeep to the Emergency Room, waiting for phone call.
95 5 speed/I-6 with 88K
I had just ordered 4 quarts of MT-90 off Amazon and was planning to change Transmission fluid this weekend. Driving to the store last night, right front wheel hit a pot hole and bad things happened. Immediately heard hard grinding noise, couldn't find any gears. Gear shift seemed like everything shifted to the right, it felt like 1st gear was were 3rd used to be and everything else moved over, couldn't even find 5th or Reverse. Pulled into lot and checked underneath, nothing obviously out of place, no fluids leaking. Managed to find 3rd gear, and limped up the street to a local shop I've used before.
Waiting for a phone call from the mechanic, hoping it's not a $$$$ problem, because it might be time for me to start looking for a new ride if that's the case.
Any thoughts on what I should be expecting?

Really? Because 4 posts down there's a guy asking about a submerged transmission. I'm not asking a technical question, just sharing an experience and asking for some advice.

x2 on motor mount related. Sounds like a similar situation a YJ buddy of mine recently had. The plates that attach to the block sheared the bolts off on his. He replaced the plate with the one from Brown Dog that uses additional mounting points.

I've been here longer and I participate a little more than you. Therefore, I have more opportunities to be inconvenienced by people who are too lazy to post in the right area. You sort of made that clear by pointing out the dude with the submerged tranny just 4 posts down.
So, next time, help everybody out by posting your tech question in the right area. Thanks

OP I hope its something simple and you get out of there without handing over limbs in exchange.

That depends on a number of factors. Your dim headlights will obviously affect oil pressure and we all know that if you're above or below normal pressure on the 4.0 you'll get the wobbles. Could all be related, I recommend hood vents... depending on what axle you have.
