Usually only XJ's wave to me. Although a few YJ's and TJ's do. The rest think they're too good to wave at a station wagon I guess. I'll wave to anyone who waves first, but I'll wave first to any built-looking XJ.

I wave , but most of the time it's only to modified Jeeps . But living in Utah majority of the people with Jeeps lift them and wheel them I have noticed I get more waves in my Stock YJ then I do in my Semi built Xj

I wave at every stocker ZJ i see, wonder how many people have to double take and say to themselves "wait, did i know that guy?"
the only time i ever got the wave from a wrangler was out on the trail, there was a built up TJ rubicon coming the other way and he waved as he went past.
i saw a kid in my auto class driving once so i waved to him, next day in class he said my ZJ wasnt a real jeep. he drives a 4 door wrangler. i said "then why are you copying me with 4 doors and a hard top?" never heard another word out of him.

I get waves from pretty much any modded jeep. Except for once there were two cherokees who were both on like 37's one had a sweet chop top and both had full exo-cages and were doorless...they didn't wave...</3

I'll wave... hardly every get waves back from JK drivers. YJ, TJ and XJ sometimes do.
A few weeks ago I was driving behind a JK; they had the top off. The other way, an older guy was driving towards us in a CJ-5. He waved to the JK, and the guy in the JK actually flipped him off! He waved again when he got to me, so I waved back.

I very rarely get waves from TJs or even built XJs around here. Never gotten one from a JK, but I don't expect it. I do however get lots of waves from the CJ guys around here and pretty often from the few built 4runners I see. I also don't wave first because I've always thought the Jeep wave thing was kinda stupid so that probably doesn't help, but I attempt to wave back if someone else waves.
Owning a Jeep doesn't make you a Jeeper and I'd much rather get waves from fellow offroad enthusiasts whether they drive a Jeep or not. To me that's what really counts and I'd rather wheel with friendly Ford, Toyota, Chevy, Dodge or anything else people than *******s who happen to own a Jeep.
