Full tank, without the snowboard and gas can on the roof rack, I can usually go 230 miles and have the gauge on the last notch before E. When I used to track my MPGs I would get 15 or so. That was before the rack though

Are you using GPS to calculate this or have you calibrated your speedo gear for the larger tires? Also, you can't trust the sticker. My sticker claims 195/75R-15 but my build sheet says 205/75R-15.

Just got into Phoenix AZ tonight. Did some hiking in Red Rock Park today and saw the Arizona Meteor Crater. Gonna be driving up to The Grand Canyon tomorrow. Anyone have any experience? Lodging?
Cruiser I'm gonna send you a DM in the morning about coming by if you're free tomorrow
You can see my dot of a jeep down in the parking lot ^^^

Your 31" tires will result in about 17% less odometer miles than indicated so an indicated 230 miles would be around 265 actual miles.
Awesome trip, man. I'm glad to see another Cherokee owner getting out there. So many people are afraid to venture far from their tools, lol. Wishing you a trouble free journey.

Finally made is to Suisun City CA! Honestly didn't think that I would make it this far in my XJ, but it proved me wrong. Makes a huge difference in driving without all my crap in the back. Like i got a 2 inch lift added on lol. Saw a fellow modded XJ in the parking lot of my new workplace, so I think I'll fit in fine.
Fog when entering northern cali
Smog
Did some dirt road cruising in southern cali. Was so bumpy I had ot tighten all the screws on my roof rack after
And then there's this
All in all we drove around 4,800 miles. I discovered that my trip setting on the odometer doesn't go over 1000 miles and that cruise control was not a necessity. Took the heep to the carwash yesterday and cleaned it up and strapped that giant spare tire to the roof. Now I just need to replace those dang bushings before I lose my mind, rotate my tires and change my oil.
